| New Accounting Pronouncement or Change in Accounting Principle, Description | In December 2023, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) issued Accounting Standards Update (ASU) 2023-09, “Income Taxes (Topic 740): Improvements in Income Tax Disclosures,” to enhance the transparency and decision usefulness of income tax disclosures. This amendment requires public companies to disclose specific categories in the rate reconciliation and provide additional information for reconciling items that meet a quantitative threshold. Additionally, under the amendment, entities are required to disclose the amount of income taxes paid disaggregated by federal, state and foreign taxes, as well as disaggregated by material individual jurisdictions. Finally, the amendment requires entities to disclose income from continuing operations before income tax expense disaggregated between domestic and foreign and income tax expense from continuing operations disaggregated by federal, state and foreign. The new rules are effective for annual periods beginning after December 15, 2024. The adoption of this standard is not expected to have a material impact on our Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements. |

The amendments are effective for us beginning with our 2027 annual period and in interim periods beginning in 2028. Early adoption is permitted. | New Accounting Pronouncements or Change in Accounting Principle [Line Items] | |
| New Accounting Pronouncement or Change in Accounting Principle, Description | In September 2025, the FASB issued ASU 2025-06, “Intangibles - Goodwill and Other - Internal-Use Software (Subtopic 350-40)”, to modernize the accounting guidance for costs to develop software for internal use. The new guidance amends the existing standard to remove references to various stages of a software development project to better align with current software development methods such as agile programming. The types of costs required to be capitalized has not significantly changed. In addition, the new standard requires costs to begin capitalization when (1) management has authorized and committed to funding the project and (2) it is probable that the project will be completed and the software will be used to perform its intended function. The new standard is effective for us beginning January 1, 2028, with early adoption permitted. The adoption of this standard is not expected to have a material impact on our Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements. |
