Gino Butera Named Vice President, Managing Director and Cummins Africa ABO Leader
COLUMBUS, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) named Gino Butera Vice President, Managing Director and Africa ABO Leader. Butera is taking over for Ron Somerville who announced his retirement late last week. The transition will begin in April, with Butera assuming full responsibility by June.

Butera served as the Executive Managing Director of the Asia Pacific distribution business since 2008. This region includes a number of strategically important, high growth Distribution Business Unit geographies including South Pacific (Australia / New Zealand), Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, China, and India. Under his leadership, the Asia Pacific distribution business has achieved over 1 billion dollars in revenue.
Prior to his current role, Butera has held a number of leadership and line roles, including the managing director of the South Pacific Distribution business, the CFO and Director of Corporate Services for the South Pacific ABO, and a number of finance roles in Australia and Columbus, Indiana. Gino holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Monash University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
