Cummins Filtration Announces Industrial Pro(TM) is Standard on Cummins 2007 High Horsepower Engines

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Cummins Filtration (NYSE:CMI), the leader in filtration, exhaust, coolant and chemical technology for diesel and gas-powered engines, announced that its Fleetguard FH234 Series Industrial Pro(TM) diesel fuel filtration system will be standard on all Cummins 2007 high horsepower engines. The Industrial Pro(TM) is designed to meet the needs of a variety of heavy duty applications, including oil and gas, power generation, construction and mining, off-road and stationary equipment. The Industrial Pro(TM) system may also be used on other manufacturers' new and existing engines, company officials said.

The Industrial Pro(TM) is an all-in-one fuel filter, fuel/water separator and fuel heater. Rated for diesel fuel flow up to 200 GPH (757 LPH), the product offers an extra rugged fuel housing. Several Industrial Pro(TM) units can be joined together to meet very high fuel flow requirements: dual unit up to fuel flow of 400 GPH (1515 LPH) and triple unit up to fuel flow of 600 GPH (2272 LPH). The Industrial Pro(TM) combines Fleetguard EleMax(TM) filter technology and multi-layered StrataPore(TM) media. The combination provides higher fuel/water separation efficiency over time and reduced restriction to flow.

"This is exciting news for our industry because it indicates the powerful dependability and reliability of our Industrial Pro(TM) product," said John Clevenger, Director of Global Product Management for Cummins Filtration. "Industrial Pro(R) is proven technology and the best system on the market for high efficiency, low maintenance and extended service life."

Industrial Pro(TM) provides easy maintenance with its self-priming port. By simply spinning off the cap, users can pour in fuel and restart the engine with clean, filtered fuel. The clear cover tells users when NOT to change their filter and offers a window into the system to see fuel condition and flow. "This is our Seeing is Believing(R) patented technology," Clevenger explained. "You really have to see it to believe its superior effectiveness in removing water and contaminants from the fuel system. It is the only product of its kind in the filtration industry."

The product is designed for durability with forged aluminum construction and anodized coating for extreme duty applications. It shares common filters with the Fleetguard Fuel Pro(TM) FH230 Series. Other unique features include an optional inlet/outlet fuel hose connection and routing locations and a low restriction check valve that eliminates loss of fuel prime when draining or changing the filter. Optional Water-In-Fuel (WIF) sensor is also available, as well as fuel warmer options in 12 or 24v pre-heaters.

"We proudly say that a five-minute filter change is doable with Industrial Pro(TM)," Clevenger said. "Customers can do dry filter changes by simply draining fuel below the collar and replacing. And there are absolutely no fuel spills--unlike with standard fuel filters that can be messy and hazardous." Clevenger added that as a back-up emergency provision, the Industrial Pro(TM) also accepts standard spin-on filters.
