Cummins Names Srikanth Padmanabhan Vice President -- Heavy Duty MidRange Light Duty (HMLD) Business

COLUMBUS, IN -- (Marketwired) -- 07/11/14 -- Today, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) named Srikanth Padmanabhan Vice President -- Heavy Duty MidRange Light Duty (HMLD), a segment of the Engine Business.

Padmanabhan most recently served as President of Cummins Emission Solutions (CES) since 2008, the largest division of the Cummins Components, with $2 billion in annual revenue. CES was established in 2002 and has grown at an accelerated compound annual growth rate (CAGR) since inception.

The business is the commercial vehicle aftertreatment market leader. During Padmanabhan's leadership, the business successfully met Euro4, Euro5, Euro6, EPA 2007, EPA 2010, EPA 2013, Tier4 interim, and Tier4 final regulations with robust technologies, stabilized operations through innovative partnerships, and grew profitably. The business expanded from the initial base of on highway Europe and U.S markets to Japan, Brazil, Korea, Russia, China, and India as well as off highway markets. In addition, the business formed a joint venture in China to capture the rapid growth as well as entered the engineered components business of urea dosing systems including the successful integration of the Hilite acquisition.

Prior to this role, Padmanabhan was the Managing Director of Cummins Generator Technologies out of Stamford, England. Over the course of his twenty three year career with Cummins, Padmanabhan has held a wide variety of leadership positions within the Company, including Country Manager of Cummins Filtration Mexico, Plant Manager of the then Cummins Filtration's largest plant in Cookeville, Tennessee, and a number of manufacturing management roles within the Cummins Fuel Systems Business in Columbus Indiana.

Padmanabhan holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology in Trichy, India and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School. In 2014, Padmanabhan received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from his undergraduate institute.

Padmanabhan is originally from India and has lived in India, the United States, Mexico and England. He lives with his family in Columbus, Indiana.
