Governor Pence Honors Companies for Safety Excellence During Ceremony at Cummins Seymour Engine Plant

COLUMBUS, IN -- (Marketwired) -- 04/05/13 -- Today, Governor Mike Pence and Indiana Department of Labor Commissioner Sean Keefer honored Cummins Inc., (NYSE: CMI) Marmon Retail Home Improvement Products, Inc., and Aisin Drivetrain, Inc. for safety excellence.

During the ceremony, Pence and Keefer presented representatives from each company a plaque for earning a Governor's Workplace Safety Award.

The annual Governor's Workplace Safety Awards are a result of a partnership among the Indiana Department of Labor, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Central Indiana Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers. The award provides recognition for companies based on best practices for eliminating workplace injuries and illnesses. The award recognizes those organizations for which safety and health have been made a top priority.

The Governor's Workplace Safety Awards are open to all organizations, regardless of size or number of workers affected. All Hoosier businesses, unions, municipalities, schools, service organizations, nonprofit organizations or individuals are eligible to apply for the awards.
